Welcome to CAMP MOMMY!
We are knee deep into summer and for many of us, our roles have transitioned from mom-preneur to mom-cierge. Our businesses may have to be scaled back during this time of year, but the work load hasn’t decreased one iota. In my kid’s world, Camp Mommy is filled with all sorts of busy activities: free bowling days, $1 movie days, water fun-filled play dates, concerts in the park, and indoor crafts (on those brutal-can’t-go-outside-scorching HOT days). It’s A LOT of work to keep my kids entertained!
Do your children appreciate what a PRIVILEGE it is to have you at home?
We already know the positive effects of exposing our children to our work-at-home careers, but it is important that we ENGAGE them in the freedoms that comes along with being financially independent. Not to mention if you are looking for some NEW ACTIVITIES to do with your children this summer (besides flooding the downstairs bathroom with water balloons) why not help them to earn a little money of their own?
If you are looking for ways to keep the fun and enjoyment in your summer… enough to make it worth scaling back your business… then you won’t want to miss our guest Ellen Rohr! Returning to This Little Parent‘s airwaves since her last popular appearance (How to Turn Bright Ideas into Big Bucks… in a Weekend), Ellen will be sharing with us great tips on how to create wealth *with your kids* this summer.
What if there was a way to have it all?
The truth is, LIFESTYLE is only what we make it. On this show we will reawaken those childlike inhibitions and relish in the time we spend at home with our kids– this summer, and always =) =)
Ellen Rohr, president and founder of Bare Bones Biz, a business training and consulting company, teaches you how to turn your big ideas into a successful business. Ellen teaches the basics, the few things that make all the difference to your success…bare bones business basics.
Her passion for business literacy began when she nearly sank her own family’s business. Through the help of wonderful mentors, she learned how to keep track of the money…and make more of it. In turn, she has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs start, fix and grow their companies.
For more than 15 years, she has been a columnist for PHC News, Plumbing & Mechanical Magazine, Business Journals, Roofing Contractor Magazine– providing “in the trenches” insight that business owners can relate to.
Ellen says, “Business basics are EASY! The problem is…the basics aren’t TAUGHT in school. Common sense…isn’t common! I have a degree in Business Administration, and I still didn’t learn essential business success skills, even in college. I learned the hard way…and my mission is to make it easy for YOU. You CAN learn the basics…how to have more fun and make more money in your business. I can help you!”
